Here’s a recap of the team’s experience of creating bags from old t-shirts!

23 December 2017 - The team met up with Supermums, a group of empowered artisans, to learn how to make tshirt-bags. These bags are made using a no-sew method through a simple process of cutting and tying.

With guidance from the Supermums, our team was able to make the bags. These t-shirt bags are very useful and can be used for groceries or even as regular tote bags!

To make these t-shirt bags, all you have to do is cut off the shirt sleeves and cut a fringe from the bottom of the shirt. Each strand is about 3 to 4 inches long. Tie these strands together and you have your very own t-shirt bag!
